Antibiotic prophylaxis in clean head and neck surgery: A prospective randomized controlled trial

Shkedy Y, et al. - In patients with revision clean head and neck surgery, experts prospectively tested whether or not antibiotics are useful. In revision, clean head and neck surgery, no benefit were demonstrated by prophylactic antibiotics. Baseline characteristics of groups were not seen to be any different between the groups. In both groups, the primary end-point occurred at the same rate. The secondary end-point rate as well did not demonstrate any difference.
