Anti-platelet therapy does not influence the outcome of patients undergoing hepatic resection for colorectal liver metastases, an observational study

Boyd-Carson H, et al. - The impact of anti-platelet therapy on the outcomes of patients undergoing liver resection for CRLM was determined. Whether or not anti-platelet therapy influenced the histo-pathologic changes in CRLM was evaluated. In patients with CRLM, anti-platelet therapy showed no impact on the survival outcome following liver resection. Anti-platelet therapy was associated with larger liver metastases and vascular invasion on histo-pathologic analysis.
