Anti-citrullinated alpha enolase antibodies, interstitial lung disease and bone erosion in rheumatoid arthritis

Alunno A, et al. - In a large cohort of patients with RA, researchers evaluated the prevalence and significance of anti-citrullinated alpha-enolase peptide-1 (anti-CEP-1) with regard to the association with erosive disease and extra-articular manifestations (EAMs). In cases of RA-associated interstitial lung disease (ILD) and erosive disease, anti-CEP-1 antibodies could be a useful biomarker and could be used in clinical practice.
