Anti-cardiac troponin antibodies in clinical human disease: A systematic review

Vilela EM, et al. – This research appraised the presence of anti–cardiac troponin antibodies in clinical human disease. The anti–cardiac troponin autoantibodies possibly played a role in different diseases, with regard to pathophysiology. It could be predicted that these antibodies could be involved in perpetuating some degree of cardiac injury after an event, such as myocardial infarction or peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM).
