The anti–cardiac troponin autoantibodies possibly played a role in different diseases, with regard to pathophysiology. It could be predicted that these antibodies could be involved in perpetuating some degree of cardiac injury after an event, such as myocardial infarction or peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM).
