Angiopoietin-like protein as a novel marker for liver fibrosis in chronic hepatitis B patients with normal to minimally raised ALT
BMC Infectious Diseases Oct 14, 2017
Deng Y, et al. - This study aimed at determining the predictive value of Angiopoietin-like protein 2 (Angptl2) as a novel biomarker for liver fibrosis in chronic hepatitis B patients with normal to minimally raised alanine aminotransferase (ALT). Findings demonstrated that higher Angptl2 level was a potential biomarker that had an independent association with fibrosis stages. Compared with APRI, Hui model, FIB-4, FornÂs index, Angptl2 combined index (ACI) proved better in diagnosing significant fibrosis in hepatitis B patients.
