Anemia and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio in laryngeal cancer treated with induction chemotherapy
The Laryngoscope Apr 26, 2019
Gorphe P, et al. - Researchers used a retrospective single-center case series to determine how the response to induction chemotherapy (IC) and survival outcomes in laryngeal cancer patients treated with a preservation protocol are impacted by neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and anemia. They analyzed 68 patients. A high NLR ratio and anemia before IC were linked to shorter survival in laryngeal cancer patients treated with a preservation protocol, independent of the response to chemotherapy.
