Ambrose SE, et al. - The cost, postprocedure length of stay (PPLOS), and outcomes were determined for neonates with vocal fold motion impairment (VFMI) after congenital heart surgery (CHS). Researchers noted significant increases in cost in association with vocal fold motion impairment after CHS owing to increased PPLOS. It seems that early identification and treatment of VFMI might reduce cost and PPLOS.
