Maquilan G, et al. - Researchers performed this work to examine if induction chemotherapy response predicts thoracic radiotherapy response in locally advanced or oligometastatic non–small cell lung cancer. They identified that response to radiotherapy could not be predicted with response to chemotherapy in locally advanced or oligometastatic non–small cell lung cancer. Thereby suggesting that lack of response to chemotherapy should not preclude treatment with definitive radiotherapy.
