Shen Y, et al. - In this cross-sectional study, researchers explored whether gut microbiota could be used as a biomarker to assist in the diagnosis of schizophrenia and using 16S rRNA sequencing, they compared the difference of gut microbiota between schizophrenia patients and healthy controls. Between schizophrenia patients and healthy controls, there were some difference of gut microbiota. The insights from this study could be used to develop a microbiota-based diagnosis for schizophrenia.
