Analysis of gene copy number changes in head and neck cancer
Clinical Otolaryngology Jun 25, 2018
Baltaci E, et al. - Authors evaluated the copy number variations in patients with head and neck cancer (HNC). The contribution of gene amplifications was supported by the alterations found in the study, and also indicated cooperation between certain oncogenes in the pathogenesis of HNSCC. A high correlation was found in the amplification of the ZNF703, PRDM14 and MYC genes, thereby suggesting that during carcinogenesis, the genes displaying high copy number changes on chromosome 8 collaborate.
