Ute WD, et al. - Experts investigated if individuals with Eustachian tube dysfunction (ETD) had impairment in chemosensory functions, and the changes of the chemosensory function following balloon dilatation of the Eustachian tube. Reduced taste scores were exhibited by patients suffering from ETD. Gustatory function was not influenced by balloon dilatation of the Eustachian tube, but olfactory function showed improvement.
