Kirkham KR, et al. - This meta-analysis compared local infiltration analgesia with femoral nerve blockade in terms of analgesic and functional outcomes following anterior ligament reconstruction. According to findings, in the patients who underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, postoperative analgesia provided by femoral nerve block versus local infiltration analgesia was superior. In addition, due to the lack of reporting of functional outcomes in the existing literature, the impact of improved analgesia on function remained unclear.
