Fuzier R, et al. - The impact of surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome on postoperative analgesic drug prescription was investigated in this study. Researchers reported a persistent and even increased use of opioid or antineuropathic drugs for more than 2 months after surgery, in association with possible chronic postoperative pain, in approximately 3% to 5% of patients undergoing carpal tunnel surgery.
