An observational study of the efficacy of azithromycin in erythema annulare centrifugum

Clinical and Experimental Dermatology May 04, 2018

Sardana K, et al. - Researchers ascertained the role of oral azithromycin in cases of idiopathic erythema annulare centrifugum (EAC) (a form of figurate erythema consequent to a cutaneous hypersensitivity reaction to an underlying agent). An open trial of azithromycin in patients with idiopathic EAC was performed by the experts. As per data, oral azithromycin was seen as a promising therapy in cases of idiopathic EAC. Compared to the cases with a deep pattern, cases with a superficial pattern were seen to respond earlier.
