Friedman BW, et al. - Researchers performed an emergency department (ED)-based, prospective study of intravenous (IV) metoclopramide 20 mg + diphenhydramine 25 mg for acute post-traumatic headache. Despite reports of headache relapse in 1/3 of patients after ED discharge and reports of persistent headaches one week later in 1/4 of patients, findings demonstrated that IV metoclopramide 20 mg + diphenhydramine 25 mg was efficacious and well-tolerated.
