Nayak MK, et al. - In this observational, prospective, single-centre study, experts assessed the effectiveness and safety of commonly prescribed drugs for zoster-associated pain and their effect on quality of sleep at a tertiary care hospital in western India. As per the data, there was an effectiveness and good tolerability of the drugs commonly used for zoster-associated pain. A similar effect of these on pain and quality of sleep was seen. However, combination treatment demonstrated a possible greater effect in the early phase of intense and deep pain.
