An approach to the asthma-protective farm effect by geocoding: Good farms and better farms

Müller-Rompa SEK, et al. - The goal of this investigation was to evaluate the impacts of proximity to farms and environmental variables in relation to the residential address on asthma and atopy. In this work, clustering of farms within a neighborhood of 100m was shown to have a strong association with the protective effect on asthma and moreover, data suggested that this may represent a more traditional style of farming with broader microbial exposure.
