Qiu S, et al. – Experts introduced an analysis of 97 previously diagnosed de novo adult acute erythroid leukemia subtype (AEL) patients following the 2016 revision to World Health Organization classification. Rather than myelodyspalstic syndrome (MDS)/acute myeloid leukemia (AML) subtypes, cytogenetic appeared to better represent the prognostic factor of previously diagnosed AEL patients. This study highlighted transplantation as a better choice for those whose cytogenetic category was unfavorable.
