Thorsell Cederberg J, et al. - This single-subject study intended to preliminarily assess an acceptance-based intervention for children and adolescents with cancer experiencing acute pain, with regard to feasibility and effect on pain intensity and discomfort of pain. The outcomes recommended that an acceptance-based intervention could help children and adolescents with cancer to cope with the pain that was often correlated with cancer treatment despite pharmacological pain management. The results were tentative but promising and warranted additional study.
