An 8-year follow-up of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor treatment with a treat-and-extend modality for neovascular age-related macular degeneration
Acta Ophthalmologica Sep 22, 2017
Berg K, et al. - An inquiry was set up for the long-term visual results of therapy with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) agents for neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) following a treat-and-extend regimen. An improvement and stability of vision were yielded for several years through the treatment of nAMD patients with a treat-and-extend modality. A decline was reported in the visual acuity (VA) probably elucidated by macular atrophic development, after 8 years of follow-up.
