Mitchell-Jones N, et al. - Researchers ascertained if ambulatory (outpatient (OP)) treatment of severe nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (NVP) was as effective as inpatient (IP) care. Ambulatory management was disclosed to be an effective direct alternative to IP management of severe NVP. Several women requiring treatment for severe NVP exhibited strong preferences for the treatment setting. This could require consideration by care providers, especially due to the psychological impact of severe NVP.
