Alkaline phosphatase and outcomes in patients with preserved renal function: Results From China National Stroke Registry
Stroke Jun 01, 2018
Zong L, et al. - Using the China National Stroke Registry, the researchers examined the relationship between serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) level and clinical outcomes after stroke in patients with preserved kidney function. This study was conducted on sixteen thousand, three hundred sixty-seven stroke patients with preserved kidney function. Using unfrozen samples, serum ALP levels were tested by automated enzymatic method in each center. Results of this study suggested that ALP could be an independent predictor of all-cause mortality, stroke recurrence, composite end point, and poor functional outcome after stroke in patients with preserved kidney function.
