Gastroenterology Aug 15, 2017

Prospectively evaluated alcohol use was not correlated with significant differences in risk factors for CVD or markers of subclinical CVD in a population–based sample of individuals with NAFLD in midlife. In patients with NAFLD, alcohol use could not reduce the risk of CVD in contrast to general population findings.
