Martens RJH, et al. - This study entailed analysis of cross-sectional associations of albuminuria and estimated glomerular filtration rate with depressive symptoms and depressive episodes in 40- to 75-year-old individuals. Findings demonstrated an association of albuminuria with depressive symptoms and depressive episodes, even at levels of urinary albumin excretion that did not fulfill the chronic kidney disease criteria.
