Airway management protocol after anterior cervical spine surgery: Analysis of the results of risk factors associated with airway complication

Kim M, et al. - This study assessed the incidence of airway complications for patients undergoing anterior cervical spine surgery (ACSS) after the implementation of postoperative airway management protocol (ASAN Extubation Protocol, AEP). As per observations, post-ACSS, airway complication was not very common. Essentially, AEP helped to attenuate the incidence of airway complications. Risk factors for these complications should be identified preoperatively.
