Simma L, et al. – This study focused on the children presented to the emergency department (ED) with airway emergencies and managed urgently in the operating room (OR). Investigations showed that advanced airway techniques, including inhalational induction and intubation via fibre–optic intubating bronchoscope, were rarely but predictably required in the management of patients in the ED.
