Age-related changes in urinary flow following dorsal inlay graft urethroplasty for hypospadias in early childhood: Potential improvement over 11 years of age
Journal of Pediatric Urology Apr 05, 2018
Kim WJ, et al. - Researchers assessed if uroflowmetry parameters changed with time after dorsal inlay graft urethroplasty (DIG) for hypospadias in early childhood. The patients included in this study had a median operative age of 1.8 years (range 1.0–4.9 years). This study was the first to present the short-term and long-term uroflowmetry outcomes after DIG. Also, to evaluate uroflowmetry after hypospadias repair, the flow index (FI) was used for the first time. Spontaneous improvement in uroflowmetry parameters was seen over 11 years of age following DIG for hypospadias in early childhood.
