Schramm-Luc A, et al. - This study was conducted to determine age-related differences in cellular functions, which could predict the response to treatment with tumor necrosis factor (TNF) α inhibitors in ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients. They noted that TNFα-producing CD8 cells could mediate the influence of age on the response to anti-TNFα treatment in AS patients.
