Resuscitation Apr 04, 2020
Wiberg S, Holmberg MJ, Donnino MW, et al. - Trends in survival to hospital discharge after adult IHCA were assessed across age groups from 2000 to 2016 via performing an observational study of IHCA patients included in the Get With The Guidelines-Resuscitation registry during this time period. Assessment of a total of 234,767 IHCA patients was done. Outcomes revealed significant improvement in the rates of survival to discharge from 2000 to 2016 across all age groups among these patients. Patients younger than 50 years showed 0.8% absolute increase in survival per calendar year, patients between 50 and 59 years had 0.6% absolute increase, patients between 60 and 69 years had 0.5% absolute increase, patients between 70 and 79 years had 0.5% absolute increase, and patients older than 80 years had 0.5% absolute increase. .
