Age at first full-term birth and breast cancer risk in BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutation carriers
Breast Cancer Research and Treatment Aug 08, 2018
Kotsopoulos J, et al. - In this case-control study, researchers examined the association between age at first birth and breast cancer risk for women with a mutation in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene. From a routinely administered research questionnaire, information about reproductive factors, including age at first birth as well as medical history was obtained. In the final analysis, 2,295 matched pairs of women with a BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation were involved. According to this matched analysis of a large number of BRCA mutation carriers, age at first birth had little impact on BRCA1 or BRCA2 breast cancer risk.
