Archives of Osteoporosis May 03, 2018
AlQuaiz AJM, et al. - Authors measured the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency and determined its correlates among Saudi adults in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The mean age (SD) of the male participants was 43.0 (±11.7) and that of female participants was 42.8 (±10.3) years. Findings suggested a high prevalence of vitamin D deficiency particularly among young adults and those with central obesity. To prevent and treat vitamin D deficiency help could be provided by the proper fortification policy, health education, and regular screening primary health care centres (PHCC).
