Adjuvant chemotherapy is associated with improved survival for late-stage salivary squamous cell carcinoma

Cheraghlou S, et al. - Authors ascertained the outcomes related to the use of adjuvant radiotherapy and chemoradiotherapy in the treatment of early- and late-stage salivary squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Findings suggested probable improved long-term survival with the addition of chemotherapy to the adjuvant therapy of late-stage patients with salivary SCC. Patient outcomes may also be improved with the expanded use of adjuvant therapy for early-stage disease.
