Adjuvant chemoradiotherapy vs radiotherapy alone in high-risk endometrial cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Gynecologic Oncology | Mar 23, 2018
Yi L, et al. - Patients with high-risk endometrial cancer (HREC) treated with either postoperative chemoradiotherapy (CRT) or radiotherapy (RT) alone were compared in terms of overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), the local recurrence rate, the distant metastasis rate, cancer-specific survival (CSS), grade III/IV acute and late toxicities, and the small bowel obstruction rate. Adjuvant CRT vs RT could significantly improve PFS and CSS for patients with endometrial cancers with stage I-III risk factors. CRT was well accepted and tolerated in HREC patients, with the exception of increased acute toxicities.
