Adipocyte size variability in benign and malignant lipomatous tumors and morphologic mimics: A quantitative definition using digital pathology
Human Pathology Nov 14, 2017
Bean GR, et al. - A quantitative investigation was pursued of the hypothesis that variance in adipocyte size was a feature of malignancy in well-differentiated lipomatous tumors. The yielded results quantitate the morphology of atypical lipomatous tumor/well-differentiated liposarcoma (ALT/WDL) and its mimics. It particularly defined the somewhat subjective Âvariability of cell size as maximum range, instead of the variance, of adipocyte size.
