Bidwell LC, et al. – The focus of the presented study was to investigate the role of Attention–deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms in a pharmacological smoking cessation trial. Researchers reported that smoking cessation was associated with ADHD Hyperactivity/Impulsivity (HI) symptoms. They noted that varenicline decreased smoking and withdrawal in individuals with high HI symptoms. They suggested that vareniclineÂs effects might differ in individuals with high vs. low HI symptoms.
