Adductor pollicis muscle thickness has a low association with lean mass in women

Barreiro SM, et al. – In this cross–sectional study, the experts intended to associate adductor pollicis muscle thickness (APMT) (alone and plus weight) with lean mass (LM) in women. APMT displayed a low association with LM, compared to weight. Thus a simpler anthropometric measurement, such as weight, could be a better predictor of LM than APMT.
