Adding vancomycin to perioperative prophylaxis decreases deep sternal wound infections in high-risk cardiac surgery patients

In this study, vancomycin addition to standard antibiotic prophylaxis in high-risk patients resulted in significant reduction in deep SWI (DSWI) after cardiac surgery.
