New England Journal of Medicine Jan 31, 2018
Kwong JC, et al. - As a part of this research, the tie-up between laboratory-confirmed influenza infection and hospitalization was evaluated in the case of acute myocardial infarction. It was reported that the incidence ratios for acute myocardial infarction within 7 days after detection of influenza B, influenza A, respiratory syncytial virus, and other viruses were 10.11, 5.17, 3.51, and 2.77, respectively.
