Nakamura M, et al. - During this trial, an inspection was pursued of the acute effects of static stretching (SS) on the shear elastic moduli of the medial and lateral gastrocnemius muscles and the variations in these acute effects between young and elderly women. The shear elastic modulus could be decreased through 5 min of SS, in both young and elderly women. It was reported that there were similar effects on shear elastic modulus between the young and elderly women.
