Acute effects of power and resistance exercises on hemodynamic measurements of older women

Coelho–Junior HJ, et al. – In a study population of older women, acute changes in hemodynamic parameters and nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability subsequent to resistance training (RT) versus power training (PT) were assessed. Findings suggested that an acute session of power and resistance exercise in older women could be effective to exert beneficial changes in hemodynamic parameters and NO levels.
