Additionally, they determined the factors linked to acute chest syndrome (ACS) complication. Nationwide estimates of the annual hospitalization rate for childhood VOC in the United States were illustrated by the yielded results. Here, the major risk factors associated with ACS complication were displayed. Vigilance was recommended for ACS complications in high-risk VOC admissions.
