Chiang CC, et al. - An exploration was conducted of the recanalization in acute basilar artery occlusion (BAO). Researchers also sought to discuss the outcomes of different treatment strategies in the management of acute BAO. Data illustrated that intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) was the standard of care for BAO patients presenting within 4.5 hours of symptom onset. On the other hand, recanalization exhibited a link with better outcomes irrespective of how recanalization was achieved.
