Acute and repetitive fronto-cerebellar tDCS stimulation improves mood in non-depressed participants
Experimental Brain Research Nov 07, 2017
Newstead S, et al. - This paper encompassed an assessment of the impact of acute and repetitive fronto-cerebellar transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) stimulation on the mood of non-depressed individuals. This technique advantageously affected the mood in healthy enrollees, with an accumulative and potentiated effect following successive stimulations. The data suggested the consideration of the possibility that frontocerebellar stimulation could serve as a novel therapeutic adjunctive or pre-emptive intervention in stress-related disorders and mood-related psychopathologies.
