Journal of Vascular Surgery Aug 26, 2018
Van Asseldonk B, et al. - Researchers performed a retrospective chart review of patients who underwent open or endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) at Toronto General Hospital from August 1, 2010, to June 30, 2016, to analyze the postoperative incidence of acute and chronic renal dysfunction as well as contributing factors in these patients. Postoperatively, acute renal dysfunction was more frequent in relation to open repair. Compared to the open group, the endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) group showed a significantly increased change in creatinine concentration at long-term follow-up.
