Activity levels and return to work following total knee arthroplasty in patients under 65 years of age
The Bone & Joint Journal Aug 12, 2017
Scott CEH, et al. – This study explored the factors predictive of return to work following total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in patients of working age in the United Kingdom. Findings demonstrated that among patients working pre–operatively, postoperative return to work was invariably seen in patients aged < 50 years, whereas, only half of those aged between 50 to 60 years returned. Furthermore, data revealed that high post–operative activity levels and patient reported outcome measures were not predictive of return to work following operation.
