Activation status of peripheral blood neutrophils and the complement system in adult rheumatoid arthritis patients undergoing combined therapy with infliximab and methotrexate
Rheumatology International Feb 25, 2018
Marchi LF, et al. - The functional activity of peripheral blood neutrophils and the complement system activation status was evaluated in subjects with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who underwent infliximab/methotrexate combined therapy. Although disease remission was noted to be induced by infliximab/methotrexate combined therapy according to the DAS-28 (Disease activity score of 28 joints) criteria, significant levels of systemic activation of neutrophils and the complement system were still exhibited by both inactive rheumatoid arthritis (i-RA) and active rheumatoid arthritis (a-RA) patients.
