Sandinha MT, et al. – This article was written with the objective to evaluate the accuracy of B–scan ultrasound (U/S) in diagnosing cases of acute fundus obscuring vitreous hemorrhage (FOVH) utilizing a standardized scan protocol and dedicated ophthalmic ultrasonographer. B–scan U/S scan was highly sensitive in identifying the pathology in acute FOVH. These outcomes demonstrated an improvement from previously reported results, likely identified with the standardized scan protocol and dedicated ophthalmic ultrasonographer.
