Accuracy of a new digital templating method for total hip arthroplasty using picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and iphone technology: Comparison with acetate templating on digital radiography
Journal of Arthroplasty Feb 15, 2021
Pongkunakorn A, et al. - The present study was performed to evaluate the accuracy and reproducibility of a new digital templating method applying the picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and iPhone, compared with the hybrid method for cementless total hip arthroplasty. Via three observers, a sum of 113 hip radiographs were retrospectively templated. Researchers compared templated results with the actual components used. Using PACS and iPhone, digital templating is accurate and reproducible for predicting implant size of cementless total hip arthroplasty.
