Katzka DA, et al. – The researchers evaluated the accuracy, safety, and tolerability of the cytosponge compared to endoscopy and biopsy for histologic assessment of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). To evaluate EoE histologic activity, cytosponge provided a minimally invasive, safe, well tolerated, and accurate method compared to endoscopy with biopsy.
