Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions Mar 24, 2018
Tarantini G, et al. - A comparison was performed between Absorb bioresorbable vascular scaffolds (BVS) vs 2nd-generation metallic everolimus-eluting stents (EES) for outcomes in small vessel disease (SVD). Patients were pooled from three large, prospective studies and it was noted that both BVS and EES had a comparable incidence of composite device-related events up to 2 years follow-up. However, the BVS group had higher rates of stent thrombosis.
